In a tutorial with Elizabeth I mentioned how I was struggling with writing my text to accompany the images, Elizabeth suggested reading lyrics of depressive artists as a starting point, I began to look at lana Del Rey to begin with however i felt as though poetic depressive writing really was not my style after showing the notes to a few people on my course which of course would be my target audience, they agreed with me. As I began to develop my research per character I began to read authentic suicide notes some of those who were famous and some from unknown people, it was interesting to see that not all of the notes were depressive and it really showed character of which is what I liked about them. I decided to change my idea from writing short stories to suicide notes, reflecting upon this idea it fits in better with keeping the project to have a realism factor to it. The most intriguing notes have been reflected upon in blog posts regarding that suicide.
Once I had written notes based on the persona of each character I began to think about the design, I liked the idea of having paper notes for some of the galleries and a more of a modern approach to some of the others such as typing onto the screen. For the 'Bathroom' the photoshoot included blood therefore I felt as though it would be interesting to have the paper as if she was writing the note as she was contemplating/beginning the suicide-I have not put the notes in too much detail as I want the images to have an interpretation of the narrative and the rest is for the spectator to create. I created the notes on photoshop. I then had an idea after creating most of my website that I wanted the text to appear as though it is being typed, I found it difficult to do this on the website as it did not require this animation, therefore I created the notes on Microsoft Power point and recorded it, then converted the videos to GIFS, of which luckily works well.
